LASH ENHANCEMENT/EYELINER PRE-CARE

*IMPORTANT*

Lash extensions must be removed a day prior to your appointment, not the same day, it makes your eyes too irritated to work on.

No lash serum/castor oil/anything use for a month prior to eyeliner, 2 weeks prior to lash enhancement. This is ABSOLUTELY necessary. Migration and blow outs are more likely if you do not go off of your serums.

No contacts during the procedure or the night after. Please have a ride or bring glasses.

Please come without makeup on, if possible. It's really important that your eyes aren’t already irritated from removing your makeup. The tissue is very thin and fragile.

  • Stop using any skin thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on your face 2 weeks prior to your appointment. This is important because products migrate and have cellular communication.

  • Stop any use of unnecessary supplements a week prior to your appointment.

  • If you tint or lift your lashes, do it at least one week prior to the procedure.

  • Cosmetic botox should be done 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after for your procedure area.

  • Fillers one month before, or two weeks after, the procedure.

  • DO NOT consume alcohol, caffeine or take any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin 48 hours before your procedure, this will cause excess bleeding and may affect your results).

  • You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during your menstrual cycle.

  • I will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, and moles in the area.

  • If you happen to have a cold sore outbreak, please notify me to reschedule when it is healed.

  • Come with a fresh clean face. Get your workout in early in the day, if possible. Eat a light meal or snack beforehand. IF you absolutely need caffeine, it is fine to plan on having some right after your appointment.

  • Bring any pictures, colors, or selfies to show me your desired HEALED results.

  • IF the day of, you are not feeling well, have a migraine, traumatic event, death in the family, etc please reach out to reschedule. I am understanding and know that life still happens. This is a tattoo on your face, I want us both to be in a good state of mind. Exceptions for deposits can be made, but are up to my discretion.

LASH ENHANCEMENT/EYELINER AFTER CARE

Your skin will be temporarily sensitized after the treatment and you should adhere to the following instructions for the next 10 days. This will help avoid infection and allow time for the skin to recover.
Healing can take up to 10 days and it is perfectly normal for small scabbing to appear on the treated area. These should be allowed to fall off naturally over a period of a few days.
After the treatment; It is also normal for there to be fading of the color during the first 2 weeks and patchy sections, as the skin is still healing and the pigment will return to the surface in about 30 days.

After care is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions for the full 10 day healing period to ensure proper healing and color retention. Results will vary for all individuals and we can not guarantee your results. It usually takes around 7-10 days for the skin to heal. However, you should follow the After-Care until your skin is completely healed. Your skin is healed when all flaking and/or scabbing is gone.

  • Day of treatment: Leave your eyes alone! Swelling is normal, and may get more extreme before it goes down.

  • Days 2-10 (until the scabbing is fully gone): WASH

Gently rinse your PMU each morning and night with water and a gentle soap (ex. Dial, baby shampoo, Cetaphil). With a very light touch, use your clean fingertips to gently cleanse the PMU. Rub the area in a smooth motion for 5-10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue or let air dry. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.

We believe healing with little to no aftercare ointment is best! You should only apply Aquaphor if you are extremely itchy and uncomfortable. If so, you can apply a rice grain amount of Aquaphor with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area as needed. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.

Do not rub or pick at your PMU. This can cause scarring, blurring, and/or infection. Should there be any scabbing, let them fall off naturally.

Aside from your daily gentle washes as noted above, do not soak your PMU in water until healed (ex. bath tub, sauna, pool, or hot tub). When washing your face, wash around the brow area. Showers are fine but limit them to five minutes to prevent too much steam around the brow area.

Avoid facials, chemical treatments, and Botox until your PMU are healed.

Do not allow makeup, lotions, or other products to touch the treated area.

Stay out of direct sunlight and tanning booths. You can go outside of course! Avoid laying out at the pool or a beach until your PMU are healed. If you are going to the beach or pool wear a hat that shields your PMU from the sun until you're healed, like a visor or baseball cap.

Consult a physician if you have ANY signs of infection, which could include redness in the brow area (aside from the first few hours after your appointment), foul smell, green or yellow discharge, and/or fever.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please call or text us at 513-456-1011. Email or texting is preferred for less emergent situations. Unless emergent, please expect a response DURING business hours.

  • Once scabbing is gone, you may return to your normal skin routine, apply sunscreen, makeup etc. Please be aware it takes 4 weeks for skin to be fully healed.

Cautions

  • Do not pick at the tattoo site at any time during healing.

  • Be careful not to get ointment in your eyes and use it sparingly.

  • Do not let the area dry out completely, since this can cause scabbing and cracking of skin surface.

  • Do not Touch the treated area.

  • Do not use creams or make up on the treated area(s)

  • Avoid facial treatments such as eyelash tinting, perming or lifting.

  • Avoid abrasive materials such as rough towels or similar.

  • Avoid taking hot baths, saunas or other heat treatments.

  • Avoid sunbathing, using Sunbeds or swimming.

  • Avoid hot yoga/spin class for 10 days. Moderate exercise is ok.

If small scabs appear on the treated area, DO NOT TOUCH THEM. They will fall off in a few days.
Should infection occur, seek immediate medical attention.

TOUCH UPS

  • Touch ups are typically done within the first 3 months after the initial appointment.

  • This can be a 2 (and sometimes even 3) step process. A 3rd appointment will cost a TRAY FEE*

  • The first session is used to build shape and gain symmetry.

  • The second session is used to perfect the liner and add density.

  • This is a process and some clients may need multiple sessions to achieve their desired result.

  • Do not expect perfect results after the first session.

  • Oily skin women, permanent makeup will not look as bold or sharp compared to lighter, dryer skin type clients.

  • Some client’s skin may have a harder time retaining pigment and may require additional sessions.

*TRAY FEE is $50 an hour to cover supplies and studio time. For most minor touch ups, only an hour is needed.

LONG TERM CARE

THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS as everyone’s result will vary due to skin type, lifestyle and the initial 10 day care and longterm care of your brow tattoo.

  • Use at least SPF 50 to protect your skin, sun exposure will cause fading and can alter the color of your tattoo.

  • As the tattoo fades the strokes will get fainter and less defined.

  • Maintenance is required to maintain desired results. Touchups are done on average every 12-24 months to maintain your tattoo.

  • Brows and Lips typically last 1-3 years. Freckles 1 year. Eyeliner 2-5 years.
